Why a Recent Grad Could Be Your Best Candidate

I recently graduated from Cal State Long Beach majoring in Human Development and minoring in Gerontology. Some of my interests are I love baking, plants, and a dog lover.

During this quarantine, I recently fostered a dog through the Pasadena Humane Society, and it was the best experience. Fostering a dog and giving him the best love and support in our home was an amazing experience. I am also very passionate about mental health. Close friends of mine have been impacted by their mental health struggles and I wanted to educate myself on those struggles they face.

I hope to gain more knowledge in the field of healthcare recruiting and expand my network of healthcare professionals.

I’m Colette Ussery, I’m a senior and I’m looking improve my graphic design skills and to learn more about marketing through my internship at ultraHealth Agency ! I majored in Psychobiology at UCLA because I’ve always wanted to learn more about why people behave the way they do, and this interest led me to pursue marketing. My background in science also made me interested in doing marketing for a healthcare related company like ultraHealth Agency.

After I graduate I hope to work in marketing for a brand I’m passionate about or with an ad agency. Additionally, I love music and am also helping promote the artist Ben Wylen through digital marketing on the side. My favorite genres are alternative/indie and my favorite bands are The Wrecks, Fitz and The Tantrums, and The Mowgli’s.
